Oil Spill Escape is my second project I started immediately after the release of Weapons on Wheels.  It was released in July 2010.

Oil Spill Escape

Summary

Created in the span of a week, Oil Spill Escape came about from the constant news on the BP oil spill at the time.

Oil Spill Escape is a very simple game where the player is tasked to navigate a fish up and down while attempting to outswim the oncoming oil, evade obstacles, and eat smaller fish for energy (speed).  There is no goal except to survive for as long as possible with the increasing difficulty and to beat the high score (personal or from the world-wide leaderboard).

Being developed in only a week, Oil Spill Escape is very simple in terms of its execution.  The game has received a little over 1,000,000 hits with overall good feedback.  If given the chance to modify the game, the best course of action would be to add more variety in terms of obstacles as well as to make controlling the fish easier (the biggest complaint).
